Overview

The Highland Dallas is seeking an inspiring and results-driven General Manager to lead one of Dallas' premier lifestyle hotels. This is an exceptional opportunity for a dynamic hospitality executive who is passionate about people, guest experiences, and driving commercial success while fostering a culture of excellence.

 

As General Manager, you will provide strategic leadership for all aspects of the hotel, partnering closely with ownership and Davidson Hospitality Group to maximize financial performance, elevate the guest experience, and continue building a high-performing, engaged team. The ideal candidate is a collaborative leader with strong business acumen, a passion for luxury and lifestyle hospitality, and a proven ability to inspire teams while delivering exceptional operational and financial results.

What You'll Do

  • Provide strategic direction and leadership across all hotel operations, including Rooms, Food & Beverage, Sales & Marketing, Revenue Management, Finance, Human Resources, and Engineering.
  • Champion a culture centered on exceptional guest service, associate engagement, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Drive topline revenue growth and profitability through commercial strategy, market awareness, and sound financial stewardship.
  • Partner with ownership and Davidson Hospitality Group to execute business objectives, capital initiatives, and long-term strategic plans.
  • Build, mentor, and develop an experienced leadership team while creating opportunities for associate growth and succession planning.
  • Ensure operational excellence by maintaining brand standards, service quality, and guest satisfaction across every touchpoint.
  • Cultivate strong relationships within the local community and position The Highland Dallas as a premier destination for guests, groups, and events.
  • Analyze business trends, market conditions, and competitive intelligence to identify opportunities and drive performance.
  • Lead with integrity, adaptability, and a hands-on leadership style that inspires confidence and collaboration.

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
  • Five or more years of progressive hotel leadership experience, including experience as a General Manager within a lifestyle hotel.
  • Demonstrated success leading complex hotel operations while consistently achieving financial and operational goals.
  • Strong understanding of revenue optimization, budgeting, forecasting, and asset management.
  • Experience partnering effectively with ownership groups and corporate leadership.
  • Outstanding leadership, coaching, and team development skills with a commitment to building an engaging workplace culture.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities with associates, guests, ownership, and business partners.
  • Strategic thinker with strong decision-making, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Passion for delivering memorable guest experiences while creating an exceptional workplace for associates.
