Overview

Are you a talented and passionate culinary leader with a passion for creating exceptional banquet experiences? Join our team as a Banquet Chef and lead the execution of unforgettable weddings, galas, corporate meetings, and special events. In this role, you will oversee all aspects of banquet food production, ensuring every dish is prepared with exceptional quality, consistency, and presentation.

 

As the Banquet Chef, you will lead and inspire the banquet culinary team while working closely with the Executive Chef and Banquet Operations team to deliver seamless events and outstanding guest experiences. Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee all banquet kitchen operations, ensuring the successful execution of all banquet and catered events.
  • Plan banquet menus and recipes in partnership with the Executive Chef.
  • Supervise, coach, and develop the banquet culinary team while maintaining high performance standards.
  • Ensure all food is prepared and presented to the highest quality, consistency, and presentation standards.
  • Monitor inventory, order products, and manage food costs while minimizing waste.
  • Collaborate with Banquet Operations and other hotel departments to ensure flawless event execution.
  • Maintain compliance with all food safety, sanitation, and health regulations.
  • Assist with menu tastings, special events, seasonal offerings, and culinary innovation.
  • Foster a positive, organized, and safety-focused work environment.

Qualifications

  • Culinary degree or equivalent professional experience preferred.
  • 3–5 years of culinary leadership experience, with banquet or high-volume event experience preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of banquet operations, food preparation techniques, and food presentation.
  • Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop a culinary team.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and time management skills.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume environment while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Strong understanding of food safety, sanitation, and HACCP standards.
  • Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as business demands require.
