At Kimpton Cottonwood Hotel, we’re looking for an Executive Sous Chef who’s ready to jump into a fast-paced, creative culinary environment and help lead one of Omaha’s most exciting hotel food & beverage programs. From the energy of The Committee Chophouse to brunch and afternoon Tea Service in the Orleans Room, large-scale banquet events, seasonal activations, our food truck, and everything in between, no two days look the same here.
Working closely with the Executive Restaurant Chef, you’ll help oversee a talented culinary team across multiple outlets while driving quality, consistency, creativity, and culture in the kitchen. This role is hands-on and leadership focused. Coaching cooks, supporting stewarding operations, managing inventory and ordering, helping develop menus, controlling costs, and ensuring every plate leaving the kitchen reflects the standards we’re known for.

· Read, write and speak and understand English.
· Ability to understand financial goals and accomplish them.
· Minimum 2 years Banquet Chef experience preferred.
· Minimum 5 years cooking experience.
· Food/Beverage Service Worker Permit, where applicable.
· Ability to communicate effectively with the public and other employees.
· Meet minimum age requirement of jurisdiction.
· Minimum 2 years kitchen management experience.
· College degree or certification in culinary field/hospitality field preferred.
· No employee will pose a direct threat to the health/safety of self or others.
