Baker’s Cay Resort Key Largo is seeking an accomplished General Manager to lead this premier destination in the Florida Keys. This is an opportunity to drive performance, inspire a high-performing team, and deliver unforgettable guest experiences in a setting that blends natural beauty with elevated resort hospitality.

The Opportunity

As General Manager, you will serve as the strategic and operational leader of the resort, responsible for overall performance, guest satisfaction, associate engagement, and owner relations. You will set the vision, lead with purpose, and ensure the resort continues to exceed financial, operational, and brand standards.

This role calls for a high-energy, hands-on leader who thrives in a complex, full-service resort environment and brings both strong business acumen and a passion for hospitality.

What You’ll Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management or related field preferred

  • 5+ years of progressive leadership experience, including significant tenure as a General Manager of a full-service hotel or resort

  • Proven financial acumen with success driving revenue growth, GOP performance, and expense control

  • Demonstrated ability to lead large, diverse teams and develop high-performing department heads

  • Strong strategic mindset with the ability to translate vision into measurable results

  • Exceptional communication skills and executive presence; ability to partner effectively with ownership and corporate leadership

  • Sound judgment, problem-solving ability, and decisive leadership style

  • A genuine passion for delivering elevated, memorable guest experiences

Key Responsibilities

Operational Leadership

  • Oversee all aspects of resort operations, including Rooms, Food & Beverage, Sales & Marketing, Finance, and Human Resources

  • Ensure service excellence and uphold the highest quality and brand standards

  • Foster a culture of accountability, engagement, and continuous improvement

Strategic & Financial Performance

  • Develop and execute comprehensive business strategies to drive profitability and long-term asset value

  • Manage budgets, forecasting, and revenue optimization strategies

  • Monitor market trends, competitive landscape, and demand drivers to maintain a strong market position

People & Culture

  • Inspire and mentor a high-performing leadership team

  • Build a culture rooted in collaboration, recognition, and exceptional service

  • Champion associate development and retention initiatives

Ownership & Stakeholder Relations

  • Maintain strong, transparent relationships with ownership and key stakeholders

  • Provide strategic insights and performance reporting to corporate and ownership partners
