Overview

At The Kimpton Cottonwood Hotel we believe great dining is equal parts thoughtful leadership, exceptional service, and inspired cuisine. Located in the heart of Omaha’s historic Blackstone District, Orléans Room offers a captivating dining experience surrounded by locally curated artwork and a seasonally driven menu that is creative, fresh, and approachable. From Ruben Deviled Eggs and Steak Frites to the iconic Reuben Sandwich that debuted in the original Blackstone Hotel our restaurant is truly Omaha’s living room.

 

We are seeking an experienced Restaurant Manager to lead daily restaurant operations while ensuring efficiency, profitability, and an outstanding guest experience. This role is responsible for the overall business performance of the restaurant, maintaining high standards of food quality, service excellence, and health and safety compliance. The Outlet Manager will also coordinate activities across related outlets such as Room Service, The Coffee Shop and the Bar, ensuring seamless operations and consistent standards.

 

Restaurant management at Orléans Room combines strategic planning, hands-on shift leadership, and people-focused management. The ideal candidate is a confident leader who thrives in a dynamic environment, inspires teams, and is passionate about hospitality, food, and beverage.

 

Whether welcoming early risers, brunch enthusiasts, or evening nightcap seekers, the Outlet Manager plays a key role in delivering memorable experiences for both locals and travelers alike.

Qualifications

· Read, write and speak English.

· Prefer two to three years of fine dining experience.

· Food/Beverage Service Worker Permit, where applicable.

· Ability to communicate effectively with the public and other employees.

· Meet minimum age requirement of jurisdiction.

· Previous supervisory/management skills and experience.

· Requires 8th grade math level.

· Requires high school reasoning level.

· Requires 12th grade language use level.

· No employee will pose a direct threat to the health/safety of self or others.
