Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Director of Sales and Marketing (DOSM) to lead sales and marketing at The Singer Oceanfront Resort, Curio by Hilton.  This key leadership role is responsible for developing and executing strategies to maximize revenue, increase market share and enhance our resorts presence. The role is involved in all aspects of commercial strategy including sales and catering, revenue strategy, and marketing initiatives.  The DOSM will guide a team of sales professionals to achieve sales targets and deliver exceptional guest satisfaction.  Seeking high-impact and innovative ideas to position the resort ahead of the competition and drive results across group, leisure, and events. Building strong client and community relationships to position this newly branded renovated resort as the best-in-class beachfront destination in Palm Beach County.  This position involves office work with regular hotel tours and client meetings, and the ability to handle a fast-paced environment with changing priorities. Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the sales team to meet and exceed revenue goals.
  • Set competitive room rates and develop pricing strategies with Revenue management.
  • Plan and manage the sales and marketing budget.
  • Monitor market trends and competitor activity to adjust sales strategies 
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and community partners.
  • Create and execute marketing and online sales plans.
  • Train, coach, and develop the sales team for growth and success.
  • Organize and lead regular sales meetings and performance reviews.
  • Ensure excellent customer service and maintain brand standards.
  • Collaborate with other hotel departments to support overall operations.
  • Represent the hotel in community and industry events to promote business.
  • Track sales performance and report on progress regularly.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years progressive hotel sales experience.
  • Minimum 2 years hotel sales leadership experience or equivalent.
  • Professional appearance and confidence.
  • Business communication skills written and verbal.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook.
  • Experience with major Hospitality Sales CRM system, i.e. Delphi, Daylight and/or brand CRM is preferred.
  • Execute and support Hotel Customer Service Standards and Hotel’s Brand Standards.
  • Strong understanding of negotiation and interpretation of contracts.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills at all levels of the hotel and externally.
  • Understand and have a working knowledge of statistical data (Star Report, P&L, expense sheets, Hotelligence 360 reports).
  • Proven ability to forecast top line revenues and expenses.
  • Prior experience with creation and execution of a Sales and Marketing Plan to reach desired RevPAR index, catering, and banquet goals.
  • Conflict management skills.
  • Time management skills. Being able to work on multiple projects with desired outcome for each.
  • Ability to direct/motivate sales department to meet and exceed goals.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with public, employees and ownership teams.
  • Ability to meet all deadlines internally and externally every time.
