Overview

Are you a creative and detail-oriented pastry professional with a passion for crafting exquisite desserts and leading dynamic teams? Join our team as an Executive Pastry Chef (Task Force) and bring your expertise and enthusiasm to deliver exceptional culinary experiences for our guests!

Summary:

  • Lead the pastry department, overseeing all aspects of dessert and baked goods production to ensure high-quality offerings.

  • Develop and innovate dessert menus that align with the establishment's concept, incorporating seasonal ingredients and customer preferences.

  • Create and standardize recipes, ensuring consistency in taste, presentation, and quality across all pastry items.

  • Supervise and mentor pastry staff, providing training and fostering a collaborative and efficient kitchen environment.

  • Manage inventory, order supplies, and maintain cost control to optimize kitchen operations.

  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation standards, maintaining a clean and organized pastry kitchen.

  • Collaborate with other departments to coordinate special events, banquets, and customized dessert offerings.

  • Stay abreast of industry trends and incorporate new techniques and presentations to enhance the dessert menu.

  • Handle administrative tasks such as scheduling, budgeting, and performance evaluations within the pastry department.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years Pastry leadership experience
  • College degree or certification in culinary field/hospitality field preferred
  • Food/Beverage Service Worker Permit, where applicable
  • Ability to communicate effectively with the public and other Team Members
  • Ability to work extended hours when business necessitates
  • Read, write and speak and understand English
  • Ability to understand financial goals and accomplish them
