Overview

The Newport Beachside Hotel and Resort is on the cusp of an exciting transformation, relaunching as The Sunny. This reimagined property will offer guests an unparalleled experience of luxury, comfort, and sophistication. We are seeking a dynamic Group Sales Manager to join our team and play a crucial role in driving group business to our newly renovated hotel.

 

As the Group Sales Manager, you will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to attract group bookings, including corporate meetings, conferences, social events, and more. You will cultivate and maintain relationships with clients, ensuring that our hotel is the preferred choice for group events in the area. Your role will involve proactive sales efforts, detailed planning, and seamless coordination with various departments to ensure the successful execution of group events.

 

The future Sunny in the heart of Sunny Isles Beach is poised to redefine the beach getaway experience offering a perfect blend of rich history and unparalleled amenities. The resort will feature 339 spacious guest rooms, an eclectic private art collection, six food and beverage outlets, a fitness center, spa & salon, ocean-front pool with tiki bar and fire pits, beach club, and over 22,000 square feet of event space, including a unique oceanfront terrace.  

 

Responsibilities

What you will be doing:

  • Developing to identify new business opportunities and cultivate strong relationships with corporate clients, event planners, and travel agencies.
  • Delivering persuasive sales presentations, negotiate contracts, and efficiently close deals.
  • Collaborating closely with the revenue and marketing teams to create compelling promotional campaigns and materials.
  • Monitoring industry trends and competitor activities to maintain a competitive edge.
  • Representing the hotel at industry events, trade shows, and networking functions to expand our client base and generate leads.
  • Providing exceptional customer service throughout the sales process, ensuring client satisfaction and fostering repeat business.

Qualifications

What you bring to the table:

      • Proven experience in hotel sales or a related field, demonstrating a history of achieving sales targets.
      • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build strong relationships.
      • Strong organizational and time management skills, adept at prioritizing and managing multiple tasks.
      • Knowledge of local market trends and familiarity with competitors in the hospitality industry.
